Born London, UK. Now residing in Daytona Beach, Florida. I have one daughter Taylor Grace and one son Coleman Thomas.

Occupation professional race car driver/coach/instructor and owner of Competition Source, Inc. Also 20 years acting as lead instructor for Porsche Cars North America at their Road Atlanta and now Barber Motorsports Park facility plus PCNA events around the USA &

 

2020 - 2023 Continued my 22 year association with Porsche as a senior instructor at the Barber Porsche Track Experience along with coaching and racing with several clients, mainly HSR, SVRA, IGT and other club events. Also hired as safety car driver for USAC Porsche races at Indianapolis.

2018 - 2019 Expanded even further my coaching services and got to race with clients in many different cars, including Ferrari's 360, 458, 488 and also in one of my personal favorites an ex ALMS 2004 Ford GT.

2017 Helped form VOLT Racing and raced in the IMSA Continental Series as pro driver and coach. Initially raced a McLaren 570S GT4 and then latterly a Mustang GT4. Lead several races but best result was 4th at the Petite Le Man support race in October. Also coached several clients at PCA, Ferrari and HSR events.

2013 - 2016 Sold and raced Radical Sports Racing Cars on behalf of Radical UK. Many wins and many cars sold in that time. Also continued and expanded my coaching services helping many rookie drivers start their racing career.
2012 Hired to run the Drive For Success race team under the Competition Source, Inc. umbrella including coaching, testing & racing for the team’s owner in selected events in North America. The team runs two 2012 Porsche Cup GT3 race cars. Hired by IMSA to drive for the Vitesse/Safety car program at selected American Le Mans Series races.
2011 Expanded coaching services including coaching and racing in 2010/11 Porsche Cup car at selected events around the globe. Other vehicles raced include Maserati, Ferrari, Radical, Corvette, Volvo, Mini, Oreca LMPC, Juno SSV6, Lotus. Hired by IMSA to drive for the Vitesse/Safety car program at selected American Le Mans Series races.

2010 Hired to drive and coach in selected Continental Sports Car Challenge races for Kinetic Motorsports in a BMW E92. Hired by IMSA to drive for the Vitesse/Safety car program at selected American Le Mans Series races.
2009 Hired full time for second year in Primetime Racegroup ALMS GT2 Dodge Viper. 2008 Formed Juno Racing USA, becoming the sole US distributor for this exiting sports racing car. Hired full time to drive the Primetime Racegroup Dodge Viper in the GT2 class of the American Le Mans Series. Won first ever race for Juno in the USA at Homestead - Miami Speedway.

2007 Helped form Radical North America as GM. Dealer for the UK built Radical Sportscar. Won NASA National Championship and 8 Radical Cup events driving all models of Radical.
2006 Formed Competition Source, Inc to assist Radical owners with car preparation, race driving techniques. Won 9 PBOC Florida feature races driving Radical SR3 & PR6.

2005 Ran film star Paul Newman, Sebastien Bordais, Christiano De Matta in Pontiac Crawford at Daytona 24 Hour Rolex race. Majority of year coached and instructed for Porsche, Maserati, Panoz.
2004 Competed in Rolex Daytona Prototype Series racing a Pontiac Crawford sponsored by Georgia Tech.

Regular top ten finisher with best result 5th at Mid-Ohio. Ran own team.

2003 Competed in Grand Am Cup with a Corvette C5. Best finish 3rd at Barber Motorsports Park but regularly the quickest car/driver. Ran own team.
2002 Ran customer cars in the Panoz Race Series claiming two championships.
2001 Formed Silverstone Racing Services, a full service company to the amateur and professional driver. Finished 3rd in class in Rolex 24 Hours driving a Lola Nissan. Raced ex Bill Elliot Budweiser Ford Thunderbird Winston Cup Car. Regularly placed in the top three.

2000 Raced a 800HP 1100lb sprint car in the USCS series winning at Concord Motorsports Park.
1999 Started racing sprint cars in the USCS series. Finished 6th on his debut at Lanier National Speedway.
1998 Competed full time in NASCAR Goody's Dash Series. 9th on his debut at Daytona International Speedway. Finished 2nd in Rookie Championship and won " NASCAR's Most Improved Driver Award"
1997 Competed full time in NASCAR Winston Racing Series at Lanier National Speedway in the Late Model class. Many top six finishes including one win. Also won two National Formula Ford races at Road Atlanta representing a UK manufacturer.
1996 Competed in three SCCA ITS races and won them all. Started to race NASCAR Late Models at Peachstate Speedway best finish 5th.
1995 Won SCCA National Championship at Road Atlanta claiming the coveted SUNOCO 500 race.
1994 Established himself in the USA legally and financially.
1993 Moved to the USA to further his racing career.
1987-1992 Competed as a professional driver winning three championships, achieving 74 feature wins, several track records and 200 plus podiums. Competed in Formula Ford, Formula Renault and Sedans.
1986 Third in John Player Special Formula Ford Championship as an amateur.

1979-1985 Amateur race car driver in Formula Ford winning first ever race at Snetterton race track. Ran own car financed by having three jobs which included working as motorcycle despatch rider in and around London, UK.

 

Career Highlights

Racing against multiple World Champion Ayrton Senna. Tragically killed at Imola 1994.

Winning four races shown live on BBCTV beating formula one drivers to be, Damon Hill, Johnny Herbert and Eddie Irvine.
Winning his last race in the UK, the 1992 International Trophy race at Brands Hatch beating many world class drivers including Jan Magnusson and Dario Franchitti.

The first Brit to secure a full time ride in a NASCAR touring series.
Finishing 7th in the World twice at the Brands Hatch Formula Ford Festival and World Cup and also finishing second in the World Cup as a member of the British Team.

Winning the coveted " Most Improved Driver of the Year Award" at the NASCAR awards banquet in Atlanta
